Dear Riverside County School Counselors and Administrators,

We hope that you are healthy and staying safe. As our school districts move towards distance learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the College and Career Readiness Unit is committed to supporting your efforts by continuing to provide professional development and much needed resources on vital topics and obstacles you are facing. With so many resources, tool kits, and links for counselors to look through during COVID-19, we instead stremlined the essential information and topics needed to support you through the end of the school year.  During this time of year, our students rely so much on your guidance in the fields of academic, socio-emotional and college & career readiness and we want to ensure you receive the latest best practices as well as strategies to continue your efforts.

We are thrilled to announce that we have modified our plans for the FREE School Counselor On-the-Go webinar series via virtual professional development in April and May to meet your current needs in response to COVID-19.

These FREE weekly webinar opportunities, launching April 7th from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., are geared towards addressing the unique needs of our TK-12 school counselors on a variety of high-priority topics in order to help you serve your students and families through this difficult time. They will be led by local and national experts and you will have opportunities to ask questions and request additional support.

The webinar schedule for April 7- 10, 2020 is below and for the months of April and May, we will continue to provide one weekly webinar for each school level (elementary, middle, and high school) which are related to topics that will support your needs now!
